“Grand Parents and the Arts Program”
On April 19th Victoriaville Centre and the Lake Superior Art Galley are offering a “Grand Parents and the Arts Program”.
Join the Community Arts and Heritage Education Project at Victoriaville's Village Green to create a memory book. Bring a family member, neighbour, friend or your favourite grandother for this Free Activity from 10:30 to 2:30 .
The memory book will feature a monthly calendar and ideas for activities to share throughout the year with family and friends. After choosing unique papers and embellishing pages with colour and designs participants will learn how to bind the pages together. Calendar pages will be copied into the booklet to mark the months and reminders of family birthdays and holidays to celebrate will be added. A year of memories will be created by adding poems and games and ideas for seasonal crafts and decorations and activities to share.
Everyone is invited to participate and grandothers are encouraged to bring their favourite young person for this free program.
There is no registration required and the programs is provided Free of Charge by the Victoriaville Centre
Caroline Kajorinne will have a display manned by CAHEP tell people about "The Bank"
The old Bank of Commerce, located Fort William Business District, on Victoria Avenue in Thunder Bay, is a space enjoyed by the locals, and acts as a throughway for pedestrians. The space has immense potential, and with the help of the community, and the generosity of the landowner (Mr. Habib), we can transform the space into a sculptural garden. Together, we can lay pathways, grow food, and enjoy the inspirational space we will create!
